The Newsboys have done it again. Their record label says "In The Hands Of God," released May 5, was the biggest debut ever for the company in its ten-year history. For more, click here.

Third Day’s recently concluded Revelation Tour proved to be one of the most successful ever for Third Day. Opening up for Third Day throughout the tour were Revive and Brandon Heath. Third Day celebrated with an extreme cake (pictured at right).

Steven Curtis Chapman has been honored by The President's Council of Service and Civic Participation. The award was in honor of his work on behalf of orphans around the world through his Show Hope ministry

Rachel shared about Amy Grant’s new album, with the title track “She Colors My Day” as it relates to the important job that mothers have. Read an article with Amy here.

How about paying more for pop and other sugary drinks? There are proposals for a 3 cent federal tax on non-diet carbonated drinks. That could mean 13 cents beyond the posted price of these drinks.

Rachel Ryder talked about rising gas prices, which according to AAA, does “not expect to see the price of oil reach the record highs it hit last summer”. Also in Jackson, the Jackson Citizen Patriot has reported a possible cutback of some of JTA Reserve a Ride services.

She talked with Burt Kettinger about his concert this Thursday night at Spring Arbor University. Today is also National Nurses Day, to appreciate the people who care for our health professionally.

Tomorrow Rachel will chat with Scott TenBrink of the Fitness Council of Jackson about this Friday's Smart Commute Day.

Rachel Ryder reminded us that stamp prices went up 2 cents today, so now it will cost 44 cents per stamp. Forever stamps are still valid at whatever price you’ve purchased them… forever.

Rachel also talked about Phillips, Craig & Dean’s recent trip to Israel and the space shuttle launch scheduled for later today to send up help to repair the Hubble Space Telescope.


The Spring Arbor University baseball team is now on their quest to go to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series. They are currently ranked 27. They will play Lee University tomorrow at SAU. Details about SAU Sports here.
