Red Cross Offers Certified Nurses Assist Training – Jackson
The South Central Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross, your local American Red Cross, will be holding its next Certified Nurse Assistant Training class in Jackson at the Red Cross office.
Certified Nurse Assistants, also known as nurse aides, work in long term care facilities (nursing homes and assisted living), acute care facilities (hospitals) and in home health care. On order to work as a C.N.A., an individual must pass a state competency evaluation that typically includes a written exam and a skills demonstration. Individuals successfully completing the state competency exam are entitled to call themselves Certified Nurse Assistants and to have their names listed on the state C.N.A. registry. Note that a C.N.A. is a legal title granted by the state and not the American Red Cross. This course is a 4 week course that is attended Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 2:30pm. Please see the schedule listed below. For questions on registration please contact Sarah A. Hill at (517)782-9486.
October 8 - 28, 2010: Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 2:30pm
November 8 – December 3, 2010: Monday through Thursday 9:00am to 2:30pm
