Leadership Academy through the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will host the 29th Annual Leadership Academy for 2010-2011 at Spring Arbor University downtown Jackson site located at 113 W. Michigan starting September 1, 2010 through April 21, 2011. The Leadership Academy will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 8-10 am.

To get more out of your Leadership Academy experience, participants must experience all of the following activities during class: Attend all class sessions, Attend one Jackson City Council meeting, Jackson County Commission meeting, Chamber of Commerce Board Meeting, Attend one Business After Hours or one Ribbon Cutting and work with a mentor.

Topics that will be covered are business and professional image, workplace ethics, team building, public speaking, time management, marketing and media, two nonprofit tours and much more.

Registration for the Leadership Academy is as follows: if paid by August 2, 2010 the cost is $250, if paid by August 20, 2009 the cost is $300. All payments must be received prior to first session of the Leadership Academy on September 1, 2010.
