Faith in Action Sunday challenges churches to literally close their doors on a Sunday morning and go out and serve their communities. The 3rd annual event is scheduled for October 11, 2009.

The initiative was developed by World Vision, Zondervan and the Christian marketing firm Outreach. They developed Faith In Action to encourage churches, ministries and small groups to serve and meet practical needs in their local communities.
