HOME.fm is a proud sponsor of the Jackson Hot Air Jubilee, July 17-19.

The Hot Air Jubilee returns in 2009 with hot air balloons and possibly some special shapes will fill the skies during the weekend.

Balloon launches are scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning, weather permitting. The weekend includes a number of balloon competitions, including the GOLD KEY event. The lucky pilot who grabs the key from the top of a crane wins a cash prize. Each night after the flight, the balloon teams return to the airport for a fantastic “night glow.”

Other Activities: Arts and crafts show, car show, Kids’ Kingdom, “Premier Animal Attractions”, inflatable slides and climb-on structures, petting zoo, pyrotechnics event featuring vintage aircraft, static aircraft displays, antique military displays, Flying Aces Pro Frisbee Team, live entertainment and more.

NEW EVENTS THIS YEAR:

New attractions include an exotic animal show, pro Frisbee team, flight simulator, laser tag and giant inflatable toys for children.

Exotic animals from around the world will be a unique addition to this year’s event. Many of the 35 animals that live at Premier Animal Attractions’ privately-owned family zoo will be our guests. Come see what a binturong looks like. Learn what a two-toed sloth likes to eat, or where a ring-tailed lemur likes to sleep. Guests can even have their picture taken with some of these amazing creatures for a fee.

Also new this year is the Flying Aces pro Frisbee team, which puts on an exciting program full of humor and spectacular athletic skills. The shows end with an audience participation contest where teams of two compete for autographed Flying Aces Frisbees.

Our Super Saver Package is also new this year. Two thousand children will get free admission to Kids’ Night as well as the rest of the weekend event and enjoy games, crafts and more at Kids’ Kingdom July 17 thanks to a $10,000 donation from AT&T. The Super Saver Package, available exclusively at P&T Fitness, 225 N. Jackson St., includes one free admission wristband for children 12 and under with an $8 pre-sale adult wristband. Only two free children’s wristbands will be allowed per family.

As an added bonus, each Super Saver Package will include an entry into the drawing for a free bicycle from P&T Fitness, valued at up to $300. The drawing will be held at P&T Fitness July 16, with the winning entry being announced during Kids’ Night July 17. The winner will have the opportunity to select a bicycle from P&T Fitness.
